If you have never ridden an E-Bike before we can help you learn, usually in 15 minutes. These trails are great to build confidence and increase your riding skills.
Needless to say the fitter you are the more you will enjoy the rides. Most days, 2 – 3 hours on an E-Bike (with frequent breaks).

From Christchurch we head out to the Rakaia Gorge to meet Bob and Anne Todhunter at Cleardale Station, a sheep and beef farm, which has benefitted from years of genetic investment. Hear the stories of their farming life and enjoy the magnificent views of the Gorge and Alps. We stay in Methven at Ski Time Lodge and dine in this evening.
We take the Inland Scenic route to Hawarden to lunch with Penny Zino at Flaxmere Farm and stroll in her beautiful garden.
For a true high country experience we take a winding, gravel road alongside the Hurunui River to meet Sarah Greenslade and hear about life on Lakes Station surrounded by mountains, rivers and lakes. True to its name, this station sits amid six lakes.
We stay two nights at Scenic View Motels in Hanmer Springs and dine out each evening.
A day to explore The Hurunui - a region renowned for stunning farmhouse gardens.
We meet Anita and Richard Todd at Saddlewood and at Coldstream Farm we lunch with Vicki Collett and Andrew Dalzell.
Returning to Hanmer Springs there’s time to soak in the hot pools or check out the boutique shops.
We call by Leslie Hills Station to admire the beautifully restored farmhouse then lunch with Doreen and Michael Dryden at Loch Leven.
Taking the scenic backroad via Mt Lyford alpine village to Kaikoura, we meet Doreen’s brother Peter Smith at Point Farm on the Kaikoura waterfront, a fifth generation family farm.
We stay two nights at The White Morph and dine out each evening.
We drive north to Woodbank Farm in the Clarence River Valley to meet Johnny and Robyn Murray who specialise in breeding Angus cattle tough enough to survive the harsh back country environment.
We lunch across the river with Jane and Derrick Millton at Waipapa Farm and enjoy the wide ocean views towards Cook Strait. Waipapa Farm was the scene of a memorable image from the Kaikoura earthquake - three cows stranded on a grass island.
We return back down the coast to Kaikoura and dine out this evening.
Returning north to Kekerengu we head inland to Bluff Station, a vast high country merino and beef cattle farm that reaches to the base of Mt Tapuae-O-Ueneku, the highest peak in the Inland Kaikoura Range.
Later in the day we continue up the coast to Blenheim to stay at the Scenic Hotel Marlborough and dine in this evening.
This morning at the Brancott Estate Heritage vineyard the Marlborough Falcon Conservation Trust puts on a Karearea Falcon flight display for us. From Picton we take a lunch cruise out on beautiful Queen Charlotte Sound to see mussel and salmon farms and learn about another type of farming - the acquaculture industry.
Returning to Picton, we transfer to Blenheim airport in the mid afternoon.
