Proposed Tour Itinerary

Flexibility is our watch cry. The framework is in place so you can 'play' each day.

Sun 23 JanAuckland - Hobart

We’re off and away on our Air NZ flight NZ197 departing Auckland at 9am., direct flight to Hobart. The excellent news being that Tasmania has currently no COVID cases and has managed to keep control of their borders.
When we arrive in Hobart and clear Customs, we will take our airport transfer to our accommodation.
Then it’s the rest of the day for play. Our hotel is close to Battery Park and there are two Adventure Labs plus other caches within walking distance.
Public Transport: is available. The nearest Station for tickets and buses is Elizabeth Street.
Tonight the plan is to gather together for a cheap and cheerful dinner nearby and strategize about tomorrow.

Mon 24 JanHobart

Today the day is yours to do what you will. One option is to hire a bike and use the many public cycle ways within Hobart. MOMA (Museum of Old and Modern Art) is north and the Cascade Brewery is west. There are also lots of caches in the nearby public parks.

Tues 25 JanPort Arthur

Today we pick up the hire cars (1 car between 3/4 people) so we can extend our range for caches. Port Arthur is to the East and South. Its iconic area with a long history and helps put Tasmania and it’s European settlers into context. (Admission included)
We pass the geoart ‘6’ on the way.

Launceston is normally 2 hours 20 minutes but you may like to consider stopping at one or two of the beautiful historic towns: Richmond or Ross. If you are planning to grab as many of the Devil or TTAI, allow yourself lots of time.
