Here are our top highlights of what you can look forward to on this enchanting journey through the Emerald Isle.

1. Try a pint of the black stuff

No place better to sample this unique drink than in its homeplace. With it’s hoppy bitterness enhanced with notes of coffee & chocolate, you’ll either love it or mmmmmmm….

2. Look across the Wild Atlantic Ocean towards America

Don’t stand too close to the edge as you look out across the Wild Atlantic. Walk the safe, paved pathways and view the famous Cliffs of Moher on Europe’s western frontier and enjoy the spectacular vistas over the Atlantic Ocean and the Aran Islands.

3. Sit a while in a Historic Site

Export yourself back to times gone by and imagine life in medieval times as you explore historic castles with their rustic turrets and towers. Or go further back to 10,000 years ago when the Black Fort was built.

4. Visit a Local Pub

No trip to the Emerald Isle is complete without a visit to a local traditional pub.. Enjoy an evening of merriment or ‘craic’ as the locals call it. Music, laughter and tales of old times….. you will be welcomed with open arms – no one is a stranger here! (Maybe that’s why Ireland was voted the friendliest country in Europe).

5. Collect Gaelic Signs

Why not collect as many Gaelic names of towns and villages as we pass through….there’s plenty of tongue twisters to be found but will you still pronounce them when we get home????

6. Explore Dublin

Dublin’s charm lies in its mix of rich history and lively energy. Wander through Trinity College to see the stunning Book of Kells, then stroll along the River Liffey to soak up the city’s atmosphere. Stop by Temple Bar for music and culture and don’t miss a visit to the Guinness Storehouse for breathtaking city views & and pint at the end!
