Assistance of your Kiwi Tour Leader, Andreas Becker.
Andreas was born and grew up on a very remote farm in Namibia, studied and lived in South Africa and then immigrated to New Zealand in 1986. He is a very proud New Zealander.
Andreas has travelled extensively to every corner of New Zealand and also to many interesting places around the world. His roots are still in Southern Africa which he and his family visit every few years to spend time with family and to explore the countries.
He is passionate about travelling and creating interesting and fun experiences for people.
Andreas has such a lot of local knowledge and passion for Southern Africa and really wanted us to share in his homelands with a great introduction to the land, the culture and best of all, the people.
Andreas’s knowledge and passion for the country, the people and the animals was very infectious and added that extra dimension commonly missing for the tourist. We saw things through Andreas’s eyes rather than a tourist brochure and it all had much more meaning to us.
Andreas had everything planed to the last detail, but we still had a lot of flexibility in the tour.
The tour ended with everyone buzzing, cameras loaded with thousands of photographs. No-one felt any aspect of the trip was overdone or too long, and we all wanted to see things again. The group separated after three weeks in close proximity without one cross word; that is a major achievement and a credit to the group and particularly, the leadership.
